Impulse Rogue: A Soulslike Action RPG

In Impulse Rogue, I spearheaded the development of the "Mind Slip" feature, offering players a fresh perspective on combat by allowing them to navigate the battlefield within their own consciousness. This innovative approach transforms traditional gameplay, immersing players in a unique and introspective experience.

I also introduced the "Trauma Meter," a dynamic system that tracks characters' psychological states during combat. Early testing has shown promising results, with players finding the mechanic both engaging and integral to the game's challenge. This feature adds depth to the gameplay, encouraging players to strategize and adapt their combat approaches.

Collaborating closely with designers and artists, I ensured that these features were seamlessly integrated into the game's narrative and visual elements, enhancing the overall player experience. Impulse Rogue stands as a testament to my commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional RPG mechanics.
